Physical and chemical properties	Appearance: Off white crystalline Molecular Formula: C10H9NO2 Molecular Weight: 175.18 Melting Point: 165-169 °C(lit.) Solubility and Stability: IAA dissolves in anhydrous ethanol, ethyl acetate  and dichloroethane instantly;  it can dissolve in Diethyl ether and propyl-alcohol, and it can't dissolve in water and benzene etc. Stable. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.  Light sensitive.
